Don Yenko and the Yenko Corvair

Don was also active in modifying and building racecars. He was associated with Yenko SportsCars Inc, a company which hailed from Canonsburg in the United States. The company produced many cars, although one of the most popular and first was the Yenko Stinger Corvair.

The car, based on the Corvair Corsa, became very popular in racing circles and had a number of features which elevated it to the top. It was very aerodynamic and available in a large range of customization options, with the car either equipped with a 160, 190, 220 or 240 horsepower engine. The Yenko Stinger Corvair was a great racecar which entranced many drivers and won many races. To this day you will still see Corvair Yenkos racing and winning in SCCA races across the United States.
